how easy to be a dreamer. how not easy to stay the dreamer. but if we hold that dream and never let it go. one day not far from this day. we would get what we been seeking for so long. how hard is to taste victory but seeing that Victory vanishing in front of you. but this two kids they didn't care, they knew if they keep working harder they would create another chance. but not wait to that chance to come past by. Bakuman a story that every artist must read.

Of all the volumes, this is my least favorite. I think the chapters weren't as entertaining and their endings didn't inspire me to read the next one. I believe the story wasn't as compelling overall. I hope it picks back up soon though since I've really been into this series so far. I think there is some places to improve, so we'll see.

One of the best manga I read. Inspired me to keep following my dreams no matter the challenges I'll have to face. Life is full of challenges, everyone has the power to overcome them >-<

Bakuman Volumes 6-10 ReviewOhba, Tsugumi, Bakuman, Shonen Jump, 2008.Personal Response: My personal response on these books was that I generally thought it was a fair read. The plot seemed to speed up a little bit, but it kept a good pace and kept me hooked. Each book had its own small plot inside the main plot and it kept the overall story interesting. It created a feeling of including the reader into the story. Plot:Moritaka's and Akito's hard work is starting to finally pay off. However, the [...]

Just when Detective Trap is getting successful something awful happens Mashiro. Can the manga survive the politics of the magazine?I loved this volume and now I'll be biting my nails until I get my hands on the next one to find out who got canceled.

This series focuses on two students who team up over the course of several years, striving to get their own manga series with the goal of eventually getting it animated. This goal of theirs has a lot riding on it, so the pressure is on. It's a (fairly) realistic, heartwarming, inspiring story. This volume in particular stuck out to me because it provides a lens with which to view the Japanese work ethic after Saiko gets sick and is asked to stop working while he rests. Things which seemed strange [...]

This one was better than a lot of the previous ones. There's a lot of motivation written into these pages. No matter what life throws at you, you're not down until you count yourself out - that's what I took from this. It was really great.

Shujin and Saiko continue their adventures as manga creators, getting past all the obstacles thrown in their way one way or another. Saiko collapsing makes it a whole lot harder though.

I've spent a lot of time reading this series. I must say this is one of the most attention grabbing manga I've ever read. To sum up the 6th volume, it has a lot of plot change and twist with Mashiro's (Saiko's) hospitalization. The steadfast manga experts by the pen name Muto Ashirogi (Mashiro Moritaka and Takagi Akito) are hard at work on their series "Detective Trap" in Shonen Jump manga, but one day their assistants came to the office to see Saiko laying on the floor passed out. When he got t [...]

Drama, suspense, and plot-twists! This volume had a lot of stuff going on, but was able to execute it well. Again, I like seeing Saiko and Shujin's journey as manga creators become a bit bumpy. It isn't that I don't want them to succeed, it is because I know that in real-life it isn't that easy, and I feel that it would be, in a weird way, a cheat on the character's themselves for them to not go through the same struggles and difficulties that one would through real-life. This does sort of make [...]

I was so worried about Mashiro in the beginning! Glad to see that he's still alive and kicking!I have to admit that I found Mashiro a little douchey in chapter 46, when he told Azuki to her face that he loved manga more than her. And I'm so, SO proud of her for encouraging him all the same! I particularly loved the part where she helped him keep drawing after a pain-attack. :3Other than that, I loved the artwork (as usual), and I think Hiramaru is one of my favourites. He's such a drama queen! ; [...]

APAAHHH!! *gebrak meja ala pak kepala editor Jump*

Wow! A lot goes down in this volume. Mashiro (aka artist Seiko) collapses due to infection and malnutrition. He and the others fight for the chance to keep their series going, rather than it go on hiatus. I love how he has built up a bunch of artistic friends and a fan base with his comic, Detective Trap. And that he and Miho Azuki (girl friend) are becoming closer in their own shy way. I'm a little anxious at the ending by it leaving off on a cliffhanger though. Can't wait for the next volume!

After reading Volume 5 and having a rough time getting through it, I completely blew through Volume 6. Things got so much better in this volume. So many unexpected things take place throughout this story and it kept me fully engaged. Though I will say the deeper I get into this series the more ridiculous I find the relationship between Moritaka & Miho to be. They hardly know each other, yet they are madly in love with each other. There relationship needs LOADS more development. Hopefully tha [...]

huahhh ini kayaknya salah satu volume yang paling mantappp!!! kisah cinta azuki mashiro tuh bikin greget. so sweeettt tapi gak lebay, manusiawi bangetpenggambaran karakter tokoh-tokohnya perfect!terus mau juga dong punya teman sekaligus rival kayak fukuda, nizuma, dkk huhuhu mantap banget persahabatannyaada kejadian so sweet pas nizuma jenguk saikou kirain saikou sakit parah apa gimana, nggak tahunya saikou masih bisa gambarhabis itu nizuma nengok ke kamar, terus langsung pulang. konfliknya dape [...]

The lack of action with Mashiro and Miho is becoming a bit tired so something should have been done about that. The 'will they? Won't they?' type literary device is fast becoming the 'Do I really care enough?' And no, I don't. Manga generally, not just this one, always seem to have a lot of shouting which seems a little unnecessary. However a great medical emergency befalls of of our brave Mangaka (yeah, talking it up a bit here) and a what? A boycott?

What a cliff hanger! I continue to enjoy watching Muto Ashirogi develop, both in the manga world as well as in their personal lives. I also really wonder how many different manga ideas Ohba has come up with in the course of this seriesI wish I could read the Otter #11 comic, that one seems especially hilarious. And Obata continues to remind me why he's one of my favorite artists, his ability to morph styles is awesome and his characters have such life they really exist off the page.

I can't find myself rating this Manga below 5 stars no matter what, one of the greatest reasons being is that this manga is based on reality. It doesn't talk about some fantasy world or people with superpowers, story is all about how the rookies goes from rags to riches in the Manga world. After reading this manga one would definitely appreciate the sheer hard-work a manga-artist puts into creating this delightful work. Hats off and respect to all the Manga Artists in the world!

Sometimes this story stresses me out its an incredible amount of work to have your own manga series no jokes! Its a bit of an intense read for a teenage manga series but Bakuman has forced me to fall in love with the characters and care deeply about how their fate turns out. This Volume ends on a heart stopping note make sure you have already bought Volume 7 before you finish 6!

This was a clearly stronger volume than the last. I was drawn immediately to the next. This one plays with Muto Ashirogi's possible cancellation, and throws the boys a curve ball by having Saiko get hospitalized. This one is more focused on developments for our primary protagonists although the entire set of creative teams feature prominently in the main plot.
