    Very mixed bag with essay quality. Some essays are good, some really not so good.The opening essay “Performing Masculinity / Masculinity in Performance” by Kate Whittaker is like an exercise in everything people make fun of gender studies for, with piles of overwrought sentence structure and big unnecessarily big words.
