This is a book I need for my own collection. I want to try a lot of the recipes. The stories and prayers make it special to me.

We received this as our PJ Library parents selection, and it is wonderful. It is organized by holiday and each section includes some background and the recipes are often accompanied by memorable stories from Nathan's family. I can see this being a particularly instructive book for young Jewish families hoping to revive traditions that the parents didn't enjoy growing up, or have simply forgotten. Fun & InformativeNot only did I learn some new Jewish recipes, I also learned about some holidays and the origin behind them. Some of the holidays mentioned, as well as some of the food, I didn't know anything about. I also enjoyed learning how to say the prayers for these holidays as well as learning the English meaning to the prayers I know and say with my parents and children. I loved the artwork in the book simple yet meaningful. Very nice book all around.

Used this book for Passover recipes. Absolutely love the matza pizza. I've had much better and tastier matzagna (I think it needed some avacado and the veggies should have been pre-cooked). Overall though, yummy.

Good for when there were kids in the house and we wanted a holiday kitchen.Decluttering the house, preparing to put it on the market; this needs to find a home.
