Why did I even bother? The Olsen Twins are just as bratty and snotty in print as they are on-screen. Not to mention the terribly limited vocabulary and weird slang words that made no sense. This book is full of teen girl melodrama and unoriginality, and I regret ever deciding to read it in the first place.

Do you know what's worse than A movie based on a book ? a book based on a movie. At least in the first case you know that something is going to change ( which is bad ) but common !!! Yes it was a quick ( enjoyable for those who did not watch the movie) read, I'll give it that.

This book takes me way back to my boyhood, growing up in NY, but it's both sisters in the story who make it sparkle and shine. Let it be a lesson to all of us - carpe diem, seize the day!

New York Minute is about how two sisters; Jane and Roxy, skip school to go on their own adventures. Jane unlike Roxy skipped school because she wanted to go to New York to give a speech in which she was hoping that it would get her into Oxford University, because it was her dream to go there and win the scholarship with her speech. While on the other hand, Roxy skipped school because she wanted to go to New York to achieve her dream of becoming a star. My favorite part of the book was when both [...]

"New York Minute" tells the stoy of two sisters that can't be more different. Jane is an 4.0 student with a goal to go to Oxford and Roxy is a rebel who ditches school and wants to make it big with her band. "New York Minute" revolves around an important day in the life of Jane as she attempts to get a scholorship, but it won't be easy with Roxy in tow, who is trying to get into the Simple Plan video shoot. When things start going wrong and Jane loses her day planner the girls go on a wild goose [...]

This was my very first Mary-Kate and ashley book i ever read and this book made me want to read all the Mary-Kate and Ashley books. I read half of The books so far and i've been loving them all but this one book was my favorite because it has so much fun and drama and after every chapter i so curious to find out what will happen next. I rated this a 5 star cause it is so amazing. Im only 10 years old and if you like books like drama you should definitely read this book

New York Minute, by Eliza Willard. I loved this book because it was really full of adventure! Jane is on her way to New York City to give a speech because it might give her a scholarship to a college. Her sister Roxy also has to go to New York for her band. She offers to go along, but it goes way wrong! They encountered many problems and eventually even had to escape from a kidnapping! You'll have to read the book to find out what happens next! I would recommend this book to people that really l [...]

I was a huge fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and was on an endeavour to collect all their movies and books. I originally watched the movie NEW YORK MINUTE and when I found out there were books too, I had to buy them!

I don't even get why this book was called New York Minute! It had almost nothing to do with the movie and the movies was a lot better. I thought this would've reflected the movie, but it was just a prequel.

Yeah well I used to like them and watched their film a lot of this story so I got the book and read it a lot. I loved it and even got a free poster. But can you blame me?! Who didn't like them in 2004-2006?! Lol

This is a very cool book. It shows how sisters can be soooo different and this book has a lot of funny characters. This book also shows that anything CAN happen in a," New York Minute".

its a good storyi haven't exactly read it but i've seen the movie twice now. so that still counts as reading.!!

It was Jane and Roxy (mary-kate and ashley) jane who needed to do a speech, Roxy who needed to make it to a concert, but got stopped on the way
