    Oddly arbitrary in the connections of those featured to Essex. the font in the paperback edition is also very much on the small side making it difficult to read and there were a number of typographical errors.

    I was initially drawn to this book as I had read Karen Bowman’s book “Essex Girls” and thoroughly enjoyed it. Upon learning that Bowman had written a partner book dedicated to a number of Essex men I was excited to read. Bowman’s book looks at a variety of men who all either were born in the county of Essex in England, lived there or had in some way during their lives a connection with Essex.
