This is the kind of book I should hate. It is both poorly written and poorly edited, to the point of humor. People don't sit in arm chairs; they sit in "armed chairs." Sounds dangerous. People sit down to a dinner of "frozen lasagna." Crunchy and cold, I would suspect. Words were misused and misspelled. However, the story was not bad, and, more than anything else, I could feel the author pouring her heart and soul into a narrative about people she really cared for.

Having known some people involved in cults, I was amazed at how real this book addressed some of the underlying cult tactics. I felt the main character's pain and concern for her family and at the same time I found myself able to step back and enjoy the book for the simple fact that it is a good story. It is well composed and reads easily. I am awaiting the sequel because the story abruptly ends and definitely left me wanting more.

I enjoyed the book and was hooked into the story right away. I could relate to Skylar and her fight to save her sister and it was one of those stories that I kept thinking about after I'd put it down. It's written well and gave me a vivid picture of who, what, where and how things were happening. Highly recommend it.

This book is about Skyler and she goes to try to get her sister out of a cult. She also explains some of the tactics these cult leaders use to keep or get new members. I think they brainwash people and cut off thier support system from the rest of the world.
