This is a really moving, inspirational story of one of our frontline soldiers. It tells of his time in service and goes onto the amazing journey he has with Walking with the wounded,a charity close to my heart. I challenge anyone not to feel inspired and proud after reading this book. Well done for everything you have done and achieved, You are an asset to our country.

David Wiseman was a young officer in The Yorkshire Regiment who loved his career and the challenges he faced as an infantry officer in the British army. He was especially thrilled when he found in 2008 that he was going to deploy to Afghanistan to lead an OMLT mentoring ANA soldiers in Helmand province. David Wiseman allowed me to do t [...]

An interesting look into the experiences of a British officer in the middle east and how he recovered from his experiences and injury. I think the book suffered just a little from being a bit too mater of fact. While there were some tense or exciting moments, it seemed to lack much of the emotional involvement I've gotten from other war and adventure accounts I have read.
