When we left Amy after the events of Waking Amy, she was following her heart and moving forward. We saw her grow throughout book one, but lessons are often two steps forward and three steps back. Tom her friend has been her supportive and has become her BFF. She and Mark are enjoying dating and Wesley is off with the bimbo. All of that crumbles in Leaving Amy when Wesley shows up needing a favor, Mark has news that will alter everything and Tom well Tom is becoming complicated. Is this a love squ [...]

Amy is now in the divorce limbo – Wesley hasn’t signed the papers yet – but is very much in love with Dr. Mark. In fact, she’s moving into his house within the next couple weeks after her apartment lease is up. While waiting for Dr. Mark to arrive for dinner one evening, Wesley shows up out of the blue. He’s back in town after his mistress took him for all he had and left him. And he wants Amy back…or at least long enough to claim the rest of his inheritance which has a stipulation [...]

After reading Waking Amy, I wanted to know how the story goes about and what happens with Amy. That's how I picked up Leaving Amy I loathed Amy with a passion in this book for falling for the weasel Wesley's plans all over again and that she even thought that she could give it a shot! While I felt bad for her that she had to learn about his cheating in one of the worst ways and her sister is the cohort yet again, I really think Wesley and Amy's sister deserve each other and I hope he loses all [...]

Leaving Amy by Julieann Dove is the second tale inside this amazing series. Once more, Julieann Dove has lured readers like myself into her fictional world. I loved following Amy, the leading character, into her new journey. Inside the first one, we found that she and her husband parted. Betrayal and the finding of new love. Then, readers get to this novel, and we see Amy's new romance coming to a halt. Her world was doing fine until her ex-husband comes walking back into it. Complicated matters [...]

I really enjoy Leaving Amy. I love following Amy in this series, even if her choices frustrate and anger me. She feels so real as a character trying to live her life and discover who she wants to be and should be. This second book in the series picks up not long after the first book, and follows Amy as she tries to make decisions about Wesley, Tom, Mark, and her life. I would recommend this to fans of romance novels.

Character development is very critical in story development. The main character in this book didn’t grow she digressed. She seems to play the victim for most of the story and then hurts someone else just as badly as she was hurt. I guess it was a reasonable conclusion, not all stories turn out in happy endings. A character being worse than when they started is unacceptable to me.

I love Amy. I was cheering her on at some points and yelling at her in others. I found myself saying "Just one more chapter" each night while I was reading it! I cannot wait to read the next book. I'm a big fan of Julieann Dove.

i have some thing to say about the coverbefore i do m y reviewi am a person who likes checking out the cover some times the cover makes me want toby the book without reading the back to see what its aboutbut this cover made me want to wipe the lipstick off her lipsfelt it to dark for her pale skinnow on to my reviewthe book was good i was cheering for amypulling for hergetting annoyed with her the nexthurting and crying for her toi enjoyed this book

4.5 Stars!Nooooooo! No, no, no, no it can't end thins way! Next book please - Hurry!I am so addicted to Amy! Of course the book did not end the way I wanted it to. It wasn't a bad ending, just not the way I would have liked. But definitely a cliff hanger. So I guess you can sorta tell by the comments that I loved the book! I liked the first one only slightly better because Amy was more snarky in that one. But I still loved Amy in this one. The first one felt more Chick-lit-ish to me and this one [...]
