SHOOTING TO KILL A WILD WEST OMNIBUS by Gordon Landsborough has three wonderful cowboy shoot-um ups that drew my attention. QUICK ON THE DRAW is a powerful western that kept this reader enthralled through page after adventurous page. Was it a frame-up? Was this guy shooting at Glen instead of someone else? Why? Is selfishness the cause? Or could pride and jealousy be the main reasons? Who will win out in the end? Will good triumph over evil? A sad but beautiful ending. In THE FIGHTING COWBOY, [...]

Good stories. Awful editing.Shooting to Kill: A Wild West Omnibus by Gordon Landsborough is comprised of three basically good stories. However, the atrocious editing, particularly in the second story, is so distracting as to make it nearly impossible to read since you are continuously attempting to decipher what word should be there, what misspelling to correct in your mind as you read along. Additionally, each of the stories has an abrupt ending that needed more polish. It makes one wonder if t [...]

MY THOUGHTSI'm a big fan of Westerns. The author gives the reader three stories compiled in one book. I've read a couple of Mr. Landsborough books before and really enjoyed them. The author does an amazing job of describing the scenery and the actions between the characters. The plot moves by at a steady pace and there are places that are quite amusing, bringing a smile to your face. In this book you get the good ole' western stories of cowboys and their daily lives. There is no lack of adventur [...]

I thought that at some time in the past I had read other books by this author and enjoyed them. But this collection failed to interest me in the slightest and I simply gave up on it a little before half way.Thank you to Endeavour Press, Pioneering Press for providing a digital ARC of Shooting to Kill: A Wild West Omnibus by Gordon Landsborough for review. All opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Three separate books, "Quick on the Draw," "The Fighting Cowboy" and "Battle at Broken Knee." I enjoyed each of them equally. Well written and interesting.
