Demons, my hometown, and a despicable antagonist you can really love to hate! Charlotte's Pact is everything I like out of New Adult books. What can I say? I'm a sucker for the paranormal. As long as the demons don't crawl off the page and start tormenting me in real life, I want to read all about them. I am worried if I say more about the story it'll be a spoiler so I'll go ahead and put the spoiler tag up so anyone looking to avoid it can do so easily.(view spoiler)[ Okay, so this book is sort [...]

Charlotte's Pact by Lauren Lee**I received this book in exchange for an honest review**34659958"My soul?" "Yes, the wonderful and magical spirit within you humans," the stranger responded, rolling his piercing eyes.I started this book a couple of days ago. I just randomly picked one that was sent to me on my iPad and was on my way. I had completely forgot what this book was actually about. So imagine my surprise when I'm reading about a cute couple who had become recently engaged and then a demo [...]

When she is forced to do things she never would do on her own she soon figures out that she may have sealed her own fate with the devil. This book wa [...]

I love supernatural stories like these. Charlotte’s Pact started with a bang and just kept right on going. Such a fast-paced read – there was never a dull moment! Without giving too much away, the opening scene sprang into action with the catalyst that would launch the story and all the circumstances to follow. Lee effortlessly transitions between past to present scenes, allowing the reader a glimpse into Charlotte’s history with Liam and how their relationship came to be. Adriel was my fa [...]

Charlott's BFF is great for everything but matchmaking. Why did she agree to another blind date? Or is this one finally the one she's been promised all along? Things seem to be going their way. Graduate, check. Find a job in journalism, kinda check. Move to the big city with her bestie, no. Find a guy she loves was not on the list but it looks like that may be a check, too. Could things be this great? So there are a few glitches. Nothing that can't be fixed, right? If it was too perfect it might [...]

Was captured from the moment I opened the book. A lot of references to Buffalo locations (I'm a native Buffalonian) both stated and incognito. The incognito was kinda fun! Creative writing - I could feel the pain of the victim and the feeling of sweet revenge. Was surprised by the plot twist ending! Recommend!

Charlotte's Pact is a refreshing take on a paranormal love story. This is not my go-to genre of choice, but I always enjoy expanding my horizons. I really liked that this book is fairly short (175 pages). It's an easy read and could definitely be finished in an evening. The story is told in third person narration throughout. The plot flows at a nice pace throughout the entire book. Some of the early chapters jump between past and present a little bit, but it's very easy to follow and executed ni [...]

GREAT WRITING PACT IS DIFFERENT!I only gave this a 4 star rating because I hate not getting an ending to the story at hand. It is written in a different style in that when Charlotte was considering the Pact she didn't go over good & evil, and I certainly didn't like how she only waited until after the Pact, Char seemed to think it was time to ask questions that I think most readers already had. It was interesting and the story moved. I to admired the demon more than, Liam who just seems to s [...]

Amount of sex 1 / 5How explicit 1 / 5Story 4.5 / 5Overall: 4.5 / 5Charlotte’s Pact is the first book in the Demons in New York series and the debut novel for author Laurèn Lee. The story line is unique, gripping and filled with many twists and turns. The characters are well developed, complex and I was immediately hooked! In the beginning, the story switches back and forth between past and present, but not in a confusing way.In this story, Charlotte and her best friend, Tori, are finishing th [...]

Not scaryThe writer needed more depth in his work. It's a good beginning and look forward to reading the author's next book.

Not a bad startNot usually my typical genre but an enjoyable story so far. I'd be interested to see where it goes from here
