Really practical and helpful. Medically insightful as this pediatric urologist describes the physical and emotional development of toddlers ready to potty train. I also appreciated the way he gave an overview of the major approaches with pros and cons for each. And it's a quick read - only 80 pages.

This was only about 80 pages. Most of it was common sense. However, I did not like that the author made it seem like every child needs laxatives when they are potty training; it was mentioned several times. Unless this is some mommy secret, I've never talked to anyone who trained with laxatives.Unless you have already tried training and have been unsuccessful, I would skip this book.
