    Buddy Holly's music played a large part in my teenage years, along with another hero of mine, Chuck Berry, he epitomised rock 'n' roll and his records were always on the turntable. The point is made in Richard Peters' book that many parents frowned on the music and did not enjoy their children playing Buddy Holly songs but that was not the case in my house. I was lucky for my Dad was stage manager at the Blackpool Opera House and so regularly worked on rock shows and was well aware of the music [...]
