Mackenzie is a successful restaurant owner and lover of smutty lesfic novels (so, me without the success). She is looking for a soulmate and ready to commit. Her best friend, Jordan, is a successful plastic surgeon who prefers to bed and run. She is looking for attractive women with no strings and no baggage. With some pushing from friends they both end up signing up for an online dating site, which leads to some unexpected feelings and realizations. Will they be able to figure out the root of t [...]

Dates badly.Obvious friends to lovers story. Not enough time as 'lovers'. Supporting characters are one-note.Shows how far the genre has come

It's a light romance between friends to read to pass the time and forget the details the next day. The dating website doesn't really play a major role on the story and is only used to introduce a character, which is a little weird since the book is named after it. And lot of the complications seemed a bit forced to me or not very well developed. Like we were told 'this is a problem' and then 'okay now this is no longer a problem', but maybe the issue was that I didn't realize that this was a deb [...]

One of the author's first works, and it shows. "Jaded lothario who doesn't believe in love" and "hopeless romantic who has it all and still can't find that special someone" is such a tired and overused setup I struggle to come up with something more cliche. The entire online dating angle -- you know, the thing the book is named after and I had hoped would spice things up a bit -- barely plays any role at all.Characters don't fare any better, everyone is a beautiful, gay and successful entreprene [...]

Mackenzie and Jordan have been friends from high school, in spite of their differences. Both driven to succeed in their chosen fields (Mackenzie owns a restaurant and Jordan is a plastic surgeon), "Mac" is finding that she wants to settle down and find a wife. Jordan, meanwhile, is content to continue being the "playgirl" and can't commit to anything longer than a few nights of passion. Mac decides to try online dating, and Jordan signs up too. Meanwhile, Jordan is discovering that maybe her fee [...]

A light romance read. I would give a four star but more of a 3 1/2 stars (why can't we give half stars?) The story is similar to Imagining Reality by Lynn Galli which is very engaging. However, I did enjoy the suspense whether Mackenzie and Jordan would admit their true feelings for each other or not!

WowUs there anything Carsen can't write about. This is a great love story. I kept cheering Jordan and Mac on since page one. Would definitely recommend this book.

Cute story. Quick read. Sort of follows the standard romance template. But well written with likable characters.
