I really didn't "get" this at all all came across as pretty infantile and totally unbelievable. I gave up at only 7% in, I'm afraid. The David Sloane character was a total caricature and the character of Alexandra wasn't being explained at all-most peculiar. You hadn't been told anything of her background aside from snippets thrown in here and there such as Sloane used to know her husband !! Then she slung in that her dad had designed her house was all over the place, it seemed to me, with nothin [...]

Alex is a divorced woman being stalked by someone in her past. but having no clue of whom it could be is leading her to believe it is someone close by or even by her father who has been dead for several years. Wrong! Trust me the truth will shock you. This book has something for every suspense fan. For sure it is a nail biter. There are even enough steamy romantic scenes to excite the reader.i enjoyed the plot thoroughly as I read it. Ms Luce writes romantic suspense like a pro with enough twist [...]

This is a thriller-chiller with some heated romance thrown in. It wasn't my favorite of Ms. Luce's, but is still far above most suspense novels. I look forward to reading every one of her novels and will hope for one for Christmas.

Spine TinglingA spine tingling thriller which will keep you on the edge of your seat. Well written and masterfully put together. I hated to put the book down once I started reading, but someone has to feed the dogs.

Suspense! The ending was very surprising. Got a little bored with the romance but it was part of the story so I muddled through.

I started out loving this book. The story line was awesomedivorced female living alone is receiving harassing phone calls, somebody watching her and then actually being in her home with her! There was so much potential for a truly terrifying tale. Unfortunately it flopped for me. While trying to make a variety of suspects, which was good, the author got caught up in making the woman the desire of every man in the book, which sucked. The police detective did not seem to have a work load other tha [...]

Carol Davis Luce’s book, Night Stalker, is a tale that brings forward some of those issues that we all know exist, but no one really wants to talk about it. Alexandra Carlson is a beautiful talented artist who someone wants to hurt and terrorize. Alexandra Carlson had just planned on helping a friend celebrate a birthday when her evening took a turn for the worse after the police arrived with a noise complaint, a guest threatens her inner peace and the ominous phone calls begins, she must lear [...]

The story line was awesomedivorced female living alone is receiving harassing phone calls, somebody watching her and then actually being in her home with her! I may think twice about a sky light now. This book started out incredibly good. Then we got caught up in the romance between the cop and the victim. I don't oppose a bit of romance in a thriller. I just want the author to stay on track. I found it to be a creepy read that got almost predictable toward the end. I still think it is worth rea [...]

This book started off on such a positive note for me. A divorced woman is being stalked. Her house gets broken into, she was receiving silent and sometimes nasty phone calls. This was all quite creepy with a bit of excitement thrown in. From then on the book went downhill quite quickly for me. It seemed that every male that she met wanted to sleep with her. The policeman assigned to her case was with her constantly and never seemed to have any other work to do. The sex scenes in my opinion were [...]

Alexandra is back in the old family home, fairly isolated and built by her father, near Reno; her paintings are starting to sell, and life is looking good. She has a feud with the neighbor who says the house ruins her view of the mountains. And now someone is stalking her, in her home - is he trying to scare her away or harm her? Kills her cat, breaks in, scares her. Police to the rescue - and the cop who falls for her can't decide if she's imagining it or if someone is really out to hurt her.

So The main character in this book is Alex, and somebody is stalking her. Plus her cats go missing. In the beginning I liked this book alot, toward the end not so much. I did love how most of the story was about the past, when they were younger. So someone ends up breaking into her house, so she calls the police and nobody really believes her. There are so many twisted lies in this book that you end up finding out, even her father and yet they thought he was dead!

Night Stalker was a great suspense/ thriller. This was the first book I have read by this author and I know I will be reading more of her work in the future. There were several times in reading this that I got jumpy, wondering who was stalking Alex. The climax of the story was very riveting & it really puts the reader at the center of the suspense. I was shocked by the conclusion. Night Stalker is one that will have you guessing until the very last page! Great October read!!!

This book was okay, i gave it a 3 star rating. I can't really remember much since it was about a month ago that i read it. But the one thing that really bothered me was how untrusting the detective was of her. And of how almost everyone that the detective investigated felt about her. It just really bothered me throughout the whole book. But that's all that i can really remember

An exciting read. I found the long sex scenes boring and skipped most of those. I prefer "He undid the buttons on her shirt" and your imagination can do the rest. Other than that it's worth reading.

False Leads and a Satisfying ConclusionIf you 're afraid of things that go bump in the night, this book will scare you. Who is the stalker? Choose from a range of possibilities and be wrong every time. Lovers of mystery and suspense will enjoy this book.

ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY FABULOUS.This was one of the most fast paced, action packed and exciting books I've read in a very long time. The ending was, well read the book to see what happens. This book was too fabulous for words. I give it ten big stars.

Amazing. I could not put this down. You start on the edge of your seat, and by the end of the book, after the twist that you don't even see coming,(after you have chewed off all of your fingernails) you are sitting on the floor because you have fallen off the edge of your chair!

I enjoyed the suspense in this book. It was pretty good! The main character annoyed me how she wouldn't give information to the cops when something occurred that pertained to her being stalked. Other than that it was OK though.

SuspenseOnce I started reading I couldn't put it down. Second book by Carol Davis Luce I've read. Can't wait to read another one from her.

Night StalkerThis book has a good, fast paced rhythm. The mystery and suspense was intriguing. The love story combo gave it a warm feature.

It is a good book, a good thriller, but the ending was a bit rushed and i don't like when the bad guy is just bad without any redeeming trait. The characters lacked in depht.

Page Turner!Good book kept me guessing. At times the suspense would even make me look over my shoulder as I was reading. I didn't want to put it down.

It was ok. A epilogue would've been nice to read. Alex came across like a prude sometimes and Justin like an ass.
